    Further Information :

    Equipment
Duvet quilts, pillows, pillow and mattress covers and extra blankets are supplied for each bed. Bed linen and towels are not provided, so guests need to bring their own sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, towels and drying up cloths. Electric heaters are provided in each of the bedrooms.
The cottage is also supplied with the following household items: Iron, ironing board, folding drying racks, hoover, digital radio, maps and local guidebooks, toolbox and washing line.
Please note there is no television or telephone, although mobile phones  work well in this area, and there is Wi-Fi broadband, free of charge to use.

    Pets
Pets are allowed by prior arrangement. A maximum of two dogs is acceptable, provided they are well behaved and kept under control at all times, as this is a crofting hamlet with grazing sheep always in the vicinity.

    Smoking

Please be aware that this is a no smoking property.

    Water supply and sanitation
The water supply comes from a mountain stream and passes through a UV filtration system, fully compliant with Highland Council environmental standards. All waste water is discharged to an organic peat filtration ‘Puraflo’ system behind the house which purifies and releases clean water into the environment. Visitors are requested to use biodegradable cleaning materials (supplied), including biodegradable washing powder and washing up liquid for use with the organic sewage system.

    Weather
The weather in the NW Highlands is unpredictable and can be very changeable. We therefore advise our guests to be ready for a range of weather conditions, and to be sure to take warm layers, waterproof clothing and suitable footwear for rough terrain. The region experiences high rainfall due to the influence of the North Atlantic. Although strong winds and gales can occur at any time of the year, there can also be settled periods of fine sunny weather at any season. The changing light and conditions at Culnacraig are part of its unique character, and whatever the weather, the cottage is a warm and welcoming base in this magnificent, wild landscape.
